Prospective studies are needed to evaluate safety and efficacy of physiotherapy during Awake ECLS, and suitable patient selection. Guidelines are required to identify appropriate assessment/evaluation tools for Awake ECLS patients monitoring.
Do Perioperative Protocols of Enhanced Recovery after Cardiac Surgery Improve Postoperative Outcome?
We conclude that FT or ERAS improve postoperative outcomes including length of stay and pain control, without increasing morbidity, mortality or readmission.
