Emergency cardiopulmonary bypass (E-CPB) is an advanced and rarely used procedure for patients in cardiac arrest that do not regain restoration of spontaneous circulation with standard resuscitation methods.
Platelet inhibitors, especially the glycoprotein (GP) IIb/IIIa receptor antagonists, have demonstrated their effectiveness in reducing the acute ischemic complications of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and in improving clinical outcomes in patients with acute coronary crisis.
This review discusses the current evidence for the use of platelet rich plasma (PRP), autologous whole blood injections (ABIs), and stem cell therapies for treatment of lateral epicondylitis. We also review the evidence for non biologic treatments including corticosteroids, prolotherapy, botulinum toxin A, and nitric oxide.
