Severe vasoplegia may complicate adult cardiac surgery, depending on the risk profile. The risk factors may be related not only to the patient but also to the procedure itself. Over the past decade, vasopressin has become a common additive vasopressor for restoration of vascular tone and enhanced clinical outcomes. Herein a case of severe vasoplegia after coronary artery bypass surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass that was refractory to catecholamines and vasopressin is presented.
