Perfusion technology is an inseperable part of cardiac surgery. This science is a miracle tool switching the heart on-off-on. Tremendous evolution has been occurring constantly from the Gibbon’s era, making it a complex subject demanding advanced skills and updated knowledge. This art can no longer be confined just to cardiac surgery, spreading fast its tentacles to multiple areas such as emergency department, pediatric ICU, respiratory ICU, Medical ICU, cancer treatment, Renal ICU, etc. Undoubtedly, the time has come to elevate perfusionists to independent Bio-engineering professionals having role in patient’s care with accountability and also research & development.

The department of CTVS in JIPMER, An institution of National Importance, Under the Ministry of Health and family Welfare conducting a three-day national conference pertaining to various topics in perfusion technology. We invite you all to this academic feast unfolding in the land of picturesque sea-beauty , Puducherry (formerly Pondicherry), also known as the ‘French Riviera of the East’ and also emerging with the distinction of becoming ‘The Medical Hub of India’ having the highest density of Medical institutions in our country. The fine pleasant weather in the month of December with plenty of avenues for weekend relaxation with family and friends will etch your engrams to stay as the most nostalgic experience for ever.

Let us explore all the facets of perfusion technology – the known and the unknown – in the form of power packed lectures, interactive sessions and workshop delivered by eminent scholars arriving from all over the country.
