Does it seems that your program over-transfuses ? Does your OR team actively work together cohesively with a multi-disiplinary goal in avoiding giving the patient any blood products ... or do the big three (Surgeon, Anesthesia and Perfusion) live in three different worlds and blood product usage doesn't seem to be important.
I am just wondering if most people are seeing the light and actively try to work as a team in avoiding using any blood products. I know that there are programs out there that are still in the dark ages and it is usually one of the big three that is a stodgy old coot and refuses to change since they have been doing it this way for 20 years!
