Perfusion Mission- AFRICA! A Request for Donated Perfusion Equipment
Editor’s Note:
I got an email today from my friend Brian Forsberg, CCP, and one of my earliest supporters when I first started this Circuit Surfers mission. He was instrumental in encouraging me to stand tall when so many in the perfusion community wanted to cut this blog down to its knees.
Nobody thought it could work. Well it has, and it only works because every single person that reads this blog has a voice for this blog.
Thank you for that. 🙂
I’ve also known Dr. Novick, albeit via the ethers of the Internet- for 6 years, and I respect him as a cardiac surgeon, a philanthropist, and the sort of unique individual that only comes around once in a while during your life.
This heart surgeon has literally devoted his entire existence to continue to extend the lives of our pediatric heart patients, especially those patients with the greatest needs that live in the places of this world with the fewest resources.
All of us have an amazing amount of old tired but very usable perfusion equipment sitting in storage and some closet somewhere in the bowels of the operating rooms we work in. I ask that you take a look and see if you have any of the following items that could be donated to a mission trip in Africa.
Attached below is Brian’s email to me regarding this matter.
