Stroke is a devastating complication after cardiac surgery that increases operative morbidity and mortality. Stroke with large vessel occlusion was associated with worse survival. However, early intervention did not impart a survival benefit.
To report current practices regarding mechanical ventilation in patients treated with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO) for severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and their association with 6-month outcomes.
It was our objective to evaluate whether emergency endovascular interventions would improve the outcomes of these patients.
