Hail and Farewell
On December 30, 2019, Aaron Grant Hill, a leader whose contributions shaped the development of the field of cardiovascular perfusion, passed away surrounded by his family and friends after a long illness. Aaron was born in upstate New York on October 4, 1942. He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and the University of Rochester, majoring in chemical engineering. He went on to work as a chief chemist in the quality control laboratory at the Eastman Kodak Company. His career in the medical field began at the University of Rochester Medical Center in the Cardiology Research Laboratory and the Department of Biomedical Instrumentation, Myocardial Infarction Research Unit.
