Although early respiratory outcomes of asymptomatic COVID‐19 patients who underwent early cardiac surgery appeared to be satisfactory, compared to the propensity‐scored matched non‐COVID group, the postoperative outcomes were worse, especially in the ICU readmitted patients. We suggest postponing cardiac operations unless the patient requires emergency surgery.
Study on Collagen Membrane Combinating With Autogenous Bone Marrow Stromal Cells or Platelet Rich Plasma in Repairing Alveolar Bone Defect in Dogs
To evaluate the potential of bioresorbable collagen membrane in a combination with bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) or platelet rich plasma (PRP) in repairing alveolar bone defects.
The Effect of Vacuum-Assisted Venous Drainage on Hemolysis During Cardiopulmonary Bypass
There was no significant increase in hemolysis among the groups, which demonstrates that the VAVD technique, even if lower negative pressure is preferred, can be applied safely and effectively to improve venous drainage and consequently, cardiac decompression, even if smaller venous cannulas are used, and also avoid from superfluous fluid addition to sustain adequate extracorporeal perfusion.
