More than a "stodgy old coot", it seems that the old problem of poor communication rears its ugly head. Everyone can agree intellectually that over use of transfusion is bad, however there are unfortunately a disagreement on "how much is bad" and there is unfortunately NOT a united front on reduction of bank blood products.
