Evaluation of the Effects of Homologous Platelet Gel on Healing Lower Extremity Wounds in Patients with Diabetes
Twenty-one patients with refractory diabetic lower extremity ulcers, who had no response to conventional treatments, were treated in this study. Our data indicated that homologous PG was effective for the enhancement and acceleration of diabetic lower extremity wounds healing.
Treatment of Nonhealing Diabetic Lower Extremity Ulcers with Skin Graft and Autologous Platelet Gel: A Case Series
In this study, we have evaluated the safety and efficacy of the combination of autologous platelet gel (PG) and skin graft for treating large size recalcitrant ulcers.
Application of Platelet-Rich Gel to Enhance Healing of Transmetatarsal Amputations in Diabetic Dysvascular Patients
The aim of this study was to evaluate the possibility to use platelet gel (PG) as an adjuvant therapy when performing TMA procedure in diabetic patients.
Effects of Platelet-Rich Plasma and Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2 on Suture Distraction Osteogenesis
The aim of the present study was to verify the effect of PRP and its combination with rhBMP-2 as a controlled delivery system during sagittal suture distraction osteogenesis.
PDGF Supplementation Alters Oxidative Events in Wound Healing Process: A Time Course Study
In the present study, we especially focused on investigating the effects of exogenous PDGF administration on oxidative events during cutaneous wound healing process.
Effects of Surface-Bound and Intravenously Administered Heparin on Cell-Surface Interactions: Inflammation and Coagulation
The work described here utilized human blood in a micro-perfusion circuit to experimentally examine the effects of intravenous and surface-bound heparin on cellular activation.
Retinal Vessel Abnormalities Predict Coronary Artery Diseases
The present study examines the relationship between retinal microvascular changes and angiographic findings.
Impact of the Intensity of Microemboli on Neurocognitive Outcome Following Cardiopulmonary Bypass
This study aimed to determine whether there was any association between the intensity of intraoperative gaseous microembolic signals (GME), neuropsychological testing and clinical outcome in high-risk patients undergoing coronary artery surgery (CABG).
Controlling Intrathoracic Hemorrhage on ECMO: Help from Factor VIIa and Virchow
We developed a strategy based on Virchow's triad to favor homeostasis in the patient while avoiding thrombosis in the ECMO circuit.
