Platelet and Growth Factor Concentrations in Activated Platelet-Rich Plasma: A Comparison of Seven Commercial Separation Systems
This study characterized the composition of PRP produced by seven commercially available separation systems (JP200, GLO PRP, Magellan Autologous Platelet Separator System, KYOCERA Medical PRP Kit, SELPHYL, MyCells, and Dr. Shin's System THROMBO KIT) to evaluate the platelet, white blood cell, red blood cell, and growth factor concentrations, as well as platelet-derived growth factor-AB (PDGF-AB), transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-β1), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) concentrations.
A Single Platelet-Rich Plasma Injection for Chronic Midsubstance Achilles Tendinopathy: A Retrospective Preliminary Analysis
The purpose of this study was to evaluate a series of patients undergoing a single platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection for the treatment of chronic midsubstance Achilles tendinopathy, in whom conservative treatment had failed.
Heme Oxygenase-1 Induction Improves Cardiac Function following Myocardial Ischemia by Reducing Oxidative Stress
We aimed to investigate theprotection and the mechanisms of HO-1 induction in cardiomyocytes subjected to hypoxia and in diabetic mice subjected to LAD ligation.
Cold Blood Versus Crystalloid Cardioplegia for Myocardial Protection in Adult Cardiac Surgery: A Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Studies
The purpose of this article was to systematically review randomized controlled trials in which cold blood cardioplegia was compared with cold crystalloid cardioplegia for cardiac surgery.
Comparison of Haemodynamics and Myocardial Injury Markers Under Desflurane vs. Proposal Anesthesia for Off-Pump Coronary Surgery. A Prospective Randomised Trial
Our study hypothesis was that desflurane-fentanyl anaesthesia could decrease myocardial injury markers and improve haemodynamics compared to propofol-fentanyl in patients undergoing off-pump coronary surgery.
Myocardial Protection with Prophylactic Oral Metoprolol During Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery: Evaluation by Troponin I
This study determined if oral administration of prophylactic metoprolol reduces the release of cardiac troponin I in isolated coronary artery bypass grafting, not complicated by new Q waves.
