Essentially, a variety of RING matters. May it be symbolic, just as the wedding ring that married couple tucked in their finger or a clinging geographic phrase “Ring of Fire”, located in the basin of the Pacific ocean where a number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions may happen.

More of an emblematic figure, an annuloplasty ring used in cardiac surgery, specifically for mitral and tricuspid valve repairs, provide support for the annulus against dilation. In the same way, restrict expansion of its annular portions to preset limits. Thus, maintaining the dimensional contour of the native annulus and some of its natural dynamics marking to increase leaflet coaptation.
