Instructions for Authors
Perfusion.com, with over 10,000 members world-wide, is one of the most progressive and far reaching perfusion organization in the world. We are currently seeking new authors and publications for the many sections of our online journal. We hope that you will consider submitting your new manuscript to us.
There are many advantages to submitting your ideas and original work to Perfusion.com, including a complimentary one year premium membership on Perfusion.com, immediate world wide exposure to the surgical and medical communities, fast and efficient advisory board review and a streamlined submission process. The emphasis is on content and information, and not adherence to strict rules of style. If you are planning to contribute, please review the following sections which describe how to format citations, references, photographs and figures. Before submitting your final draft, please carefully review the rules and requirements below.
Rules and Requirements:
Although the compositional style of any scientific article submission is not rigid, the following summarizes the minimal information required at the time of your submission.
Minimum Requirements:
- The full name, institutional affiliation, phone, fax and email, and postal address of the primary author.
- An English version of the manuscript.
- A statement of the classification of manuscript submitted (case report, etc.) and the intended perfusion topic to be considered as relevant to the content of the manuscript.
For the manuscript itself, any cardiovascular subject can be presented in a wide variety of formats. No strict rules are used to classify manuscripts into groups, but the following classification will be respected as much as possible. As mentioned in the list above, it is up to the author(s) to designate the manuscript classification at the time of submission. Please indicate one of the following categories.
- Case Report
- Product Review
- Press Release
- Full Manuscript
- Short Manuscript
- Editorial or Warning
- Video Presentation
- Other Original Work
In some cases, it may be necessary for the editorial staff to reclassify an article as appropriate.
To structure any submission, follow the general information listed above. In addition, all components of your manuscript, including references, and photographs and figures should follow the instructions detailed in the appropriate sections of this page.
The key sections of a submission are outlined below. If you are submitting a comprehensive review or editorial, the materials & methods and (or) results sections become an open arena, which you can rename to suit your presentation. For brief manuscripts or technique articles, not all of the listed sections are required. However, always include complete author and contact information.
