SUNY Upstate Perfusion Program

The SUNY Upstate Medical University Program in Clinical Perfusion awards a Master’s Degree. The 5-semester long curriculum includes 2 ½ semesters of pre-clinical simulation curriculum, which covers a practice with fundamental skills, case management, crisis management, and ECMO. Additionally, students are embedded into clinical perfusion teams at multiple hospitals to learn and practice clinical perfusion with nationally certified clinical instructors. SUNY students also complete a graduate research thesis or capstone portfolio, which may lead to publication or additional national certification credentials in areas of clinical specialty. The SUNY Clinical Perfusion program has an exceptional student-to-faculty ratio and boasts tuition rates that are among the lowest in the nation.
