The College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Professor/Assistant Director Cardiovascular Science Program, Glendale, AZ campus.  The candidate must have a Masters degree and document academic experience with a record of teaching along with a minimum of 5 years clinical practice.  Salary and benefits are competitive for this tenure-track position.   In addition to teaching in the practical laboratory and didactic courses and participation in scholarship and service, the candidate will have administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director. The Cardiovascular Science Perfusion Program matriculates 35 students each year and awards the Master of Science in Cardiovascular Science degree after successful completion of the 21-month curriculum.  The curriculum includes three-quarters of didactic and laboratory education, including a state-of-the-art simulation laboratory, followed by four quarters of clinical education practicums off campus at various affiliated hospitals located throughout the country.  The Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and has six faculty members and three support staff members.
