Summary:
A combined sales and clinical manager role. This position is for cardiac sales requiring clinical support and instruction. Sales oriented clinically reputable individual whose primary responsibilities are to sell Quest Cardiovascular products. Increased sales revenues within assigned geography is the success metric.
Requirements:
· Ten years cardiovascular clinical perfusion, business development and sales experience.
· Clinical support and instruction
· Experience calling on surgeons
· Experience functioning in operating room environments
· Ability to present to large groups
· Articulate, excellent communication skills and timely follow up
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Masters or advanced degree a significant plus.
· Willingness and desire to travel. Ability to travel 75% of work time.
· Strong drive and desire to succeed and opportunistic mentality toward selling.
· Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
Duties:
· Will oversee large territory consisting of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions
· Establish and maintain thorough understanding of Miller Heiman Sales Management Process (Blue-Sheet).
· Maintain awareness of all cardiac surgery centers, caseloads, cardiac surgeons and perfusionists within assigned territory.
· Responsible for the entire account sales to all hospital decision makers from initial introduction of product through to administration approval, installation and customer training.
· Create and maintain quarterly business plan containing target accounts and planned dates for activities of sales process.
· Generate costs analysis to support MPS acquisition to target accounts.
· Maintain good knowledge of all aspects of product functionality and use requirements.
· Record, summarize and report product use data obtained during the clinical evaluation and collate data into a presentation to facilitate the sale at each account.
· Develop, implement and refine product-training programs to ensure maximum effectiveness of product use training.
· Develop and nurture relationships with key individuals at target accounts, and regularly follow-up with existing customers to maintain good relationships. Develop and leverage each relationship; as a strategy to expanding sales opportunities.
· Create and sustain a positive professional image of Quest Medical with all hospital personnel based on technical competence, customer orientation, and respect.
· Maintain an excellent working knowledge of Quest’s cardiovascular surgery products.
· Communicate regularly and effectively with the sales team and inside resources to continuously improve the sales process and company’s products.
· Identify new applications and product development opportunities.
· Encourage customer clinical research, presentations and publications, and maintain a good working knowledge of current clinical research relevant to cardiac surgery.
