There are two hospitals in this area, 10 minutes apart, that perform approximately 50-75 hearts annually combined.  The caseload is primarily adult CABGs and valves, with ATS for OB, ortho and trauma as well.  The low case volume allows an excellent work-life balance, with 50% call between 2 perfusionists.  The hospital teams are cohesive and friendly, and working with the speedy surgeons is a pleasure
