Kalamazoo is in southwest Michigan, halfway between Chicago and Detroit, with an estimated population of 76,000.  Kalamazoo is home to division I Western Michigan University, division III Kalamazoo College along with Kalamazoo Valley Community College.  Kalamazoo hosts a unique and exciting program, the “Kalamazoo Promise”, a pledge by a group of anonymous donors to pay up to 100% of tuition at any of Michigan’s state colleges or universities for graduates of Kalamazoo Public Schools.  Kalamazoo has a great downtown atmosphere with many quaint restaurants, coffee shops and micro-breweries including nationally ranked Bells Brewery.  We are home to Stryker Medical world headquarters and Pfizer Pharmaceutical. There are many cultural venues to enjoy also.  Lake Michigan, less than an hour away, along with the area’s many inland lakes provide countless opportunities for boaters and fishermen. Southwest Michigan is also home to many outstanding and challenging golf courses, miles of single track for the avid mountain biker, and hosts the annual Kalamazoo Marathon for the running enthusiast.
