Summary:

REQUIRED:

Graduate of a cardiovascular perfusion education program.

Minimum of two years job-related prior experience; pediatrics experience preferred.

·        Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.

·        Current licensure in the State of TN as a perfusionist.

·        Cardiopulmonary (CPR) certification required.

RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY

Provides clinical and product education to Healthcare Professionals on the full portfolio of LivaNova Cardiopulmonary products. Training sessions may be conducted in person or virtually and must align with all approved instructions for use.  These sessions include coordinating hospital clinical and non-clinical demonstrations, in-person and virtual education programs, intra-operative case coverage, supporting product evaluations and ad hoc training when needed.  The clinical specialist must both work independently within their role but remain highly collaborative with their team and company stakeholders (sales).  Therefore, the individual must be able to work independently, work as collaborator and manage internal stakeholders, as well as manage their own time effectively.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES

  • Provides clinicians and medical staff clear clinical instructions to ensure continuity of education and support related to all aspects of patient outcomes, in accordance with the product’s Instructions for Use (IFU)
  • Coordinates, directs, and delivers clinical training programs on LivaNova products, as necessary and appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains product knowledge excellence of the LivaNova CP portfolio of products.

Description:  Comprehensive Care Services Inc. is looking for a Director of Perfusion at Thomas Health in Charleston, WV.  The quality- driven candidate will bring their expertise to ensure that the Perfusion Department meets the standards within the resources available.  It will be the responsibility of the Perfusion Department to respond to Open Heart Surgery, Autotransfusion, Pump Standby and IABP according to protocols and Hospital agreements.  Performs procedures relative to the physiological management of patients’ circulatory and respiratory functioning during and following cardiac surgery, under the direct supervision of the anesthesiologist and operating surgeon.

Requirements: Interested candidate must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience accompanied by management experience. Must be willing to work flexible schedules. Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills necessary to interact in a professional manner with nursing staff, health care team members, patient and families. Job Summary:
Performs those functions necessary for the support, treatment, measurement, and/or supplementation of the cardiopulmonary and/or circulatory system of the patient. We are looking for an experienced ECMO/ECLS Coordinator with at least 3-5 years’ experience.   The ECMO/ECLS Coordinator is responsible for the daily operational, clinical, and administrative coordination of the ECLS program.  The ECMO coordinator shall collaborate with the ECLS Medical Director, Director of Perfusion, and the Vice President of ECLS Services in the continued development, organization, evaluation and sustainment of ECLS program.  The ECMO/ECLS Coordinator will ensure that the ECLS Department meets the quality standards within the resources available as determined in congruence with ECLS steering committee.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The ECLS Coordinator shall possess Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum of 2-years of advanced critical care experience, mechanical support management, and ECLS Education; possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communicative skills, as well as evidence of commitment to continued education and self-development. Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills necessary to interact in a professional manner with physician and nursing staff, perfusion, and other health care team members, patients and families.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

The ECLS Coordinator may be from one of the following disciplines:

·         CCP:    Certified Cardiovascular Perfusionist by the American Board Cardiovascular Perfusion. Nevada CCP License.

·         RRT:    Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy Degree and Nevada RRT License

·         Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

St Johns Hospital in Springfield, Illinois is looking for two full-time Staff Perfusionists to join our team! We are looking for someone that can meet all job requirements and that is a team player with a positive attitude and ready to work. It is important to us to have a good work-life balance and clarity to provide the best healthcare possible for our patients.

We do approximately 400 hearts a year with an additional 100 ancillary cases that include all adult hearts (CABG, complicated valves, DHCA, HIPEC, ECMO, Impella 5.5, balloon pumps, angiovac, TAVR standby upon request, and cell savers (Ortho, OB, Cath lab, and vascular). Our surgeons and surgical staff our some of the best. The surgeons are very pleasant and skilled at what they do. We currently have 4 surgeons and 1 new arrival.

We currently use Stockert S 5 and have recently purchased the new LivaNova Essenz pumps. We currently use Medtronic Autolog and Haemonectis Elite for cell savers. We use Centrimag for ECMO. We initiate and transport and if kept in-house we round but do not sit.

Our perfusion team consists of 4 people and look to fill the 5th and 6th position. Call is once a week and weekend call would be 1 every 5th and/or 6th weekend. We are a small team and try to back each other if needed.

Everyone is welcome! Must be ABCP certified or qualified to sit for boards and pass boards within 2 years of graduation.
