Job Description:

  • Orders, restocks, and inventories supplies and maintains perfusion equipment and supplies.
  • Performs handoff to incoming/outgoing perfusionist to ensure continuity of care and safety goals are maintained.
  • Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team in daily care planning, as appropriate, and fosters a Family Centered Care Environment.
  • Follows physician’s orders, administers to the field, and adheres to six rights of medication administration per medication administration policy.
  • Monitors patient vitals. Maintains targeted hemodynamics in accordance with perfusion safety policy.
  • Communicates and documents critical lab results per Health System policy and procedures.

Clinical Specialist

The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic medical device research and development environment. This is a high visibility role with a significant and direct impact on the success of the company. RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY

Provides clinical and product education to Healthcare Professionals on the full portfolio of LivaNova Cardiopulmonary products. Training sessions may be conducted in person or virtually and must align with all approved instructions for use.  These sessions include coordinating hospital clinical and non-clinical demonstrations, in-person and virtual education programs, intra-operative case coverage, supporting product evaluations and ad hoc training when needed.  The clinical specialist must both work independently within their role but remain highly collaborative with their team and company stakeholders (sales).  Therefore, the individual must be able to work independently, work as collaborator and manage internal stakeholders, as well as manage their own time effectively.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES

  • Provides clinicians and medical staff clear clinical instructions to ensure continuity of education and support related to all aspects of patient outcomes, in accordance with the product’s Instructions for Use (IFU)
  • Coordinates, directs, and delivers clinical training programs on LivaNova products, as necessary and appropriate.
