Position Overview: Comprehensive Care Services is looking for a Perfusionist in the Austin, TX area. The perfusionist will perform procedures related to the physiological management of patients’ circulatory and respiratory functions during cardiac surgery. The program is involved with cardiac procedures related to heart failure, aortic reconstruction, valve disease and coronary disease. The center maintains an ecmo program that is a Gold ELSO Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities: Perform cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO support for cardiac surgical procedures. Monitor patient and equipment status and communicate changes to the surgical team. Manage blood products and mechanical circulatory support as indicated. Coordinate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support safe, high-quality patient care. Document procedures and maintain compliance with hospital, state, and AMSECT standards.
Qualifications: Must have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, current BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Texas Perfusion License will be required. New graduates are welcome!
