Clinical Perfusionist – Dallas, TX
Location: Dallas, TX
UT Southwestern Medical Center is looking for a 10th full-time perfusionist to join our expanding adult
cardiac surgery program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual
to work with a team of highly experienced perfusionist and surgeons at this leading academic medical
center.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited perfusion program with 0 to 10 years of experience
• Certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
• Licensed or eligible to obtain a license in the state of Texas
• Must reside within 30 minutes of Clements University Hospital when on-call
Summary:
• University based program under the Department of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery
• Perfusion coverage at 2 facilities
• 1
st/2nd/3rd call responsibilities divided equally amongst 10 perfusionists
• 1400+ cases annually: CABG (no OPCAB), Valve, Mini AVR/MVR/TVR, Aortic Repair, Adult
Congenital Repair, Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant, PTE, LVAD, ECMO Initiation (minimal
transport, no bedside management), Impella, Hepzato, AngioVac, in-house backup for TAVR, TMVR, TTVR, and Watchman.
• Main equipment in use is Terumo System 1, CardioQuip Heater Cooler, Haemonetics Cell Saver
and CardioHelp
