Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Perfusion from an accredited perfusion program.
Minimum Experience:
Two (2) years as a certified clinical perfusionist.
Preferred:
Three (3) or more years experience.
Certification though the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Operates the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery and other surgeries that require cardiopulmonary bypass. The main responsibility is to support the physiological and metabolic needs of the cardiac surgical patient.
