Mercy Medical Center (MMC) in Mason City, Iowa is a storied program with a long standing history of being a top 50 heart center in America. Anticipated work hours are <30 a week with team expansion and call will be approximately 50%. However weekend and afternoon call in is extremely rare. MMC has an excellent CV surgeon that is committed to the program and the perfusion team. The candidate would complete a total team of 2 clinical perfusionists.
Mason City is long known as the Music Capitol of the Midwest and boasts the Sound of Music Museum, the Music Man walking bridge and is the muse city for which Don McClean wrote American Pie after Buddy Holly (The Music) crashed in a nearby corn field. He had recently played at the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, just across the interstate. You can almost feel the history in this amazing town with lakes galore! Anyone with outdoor hobbies should definitely look into Mason City!

Estimated Compensation Range
$120,000-$160,000+ per year based on skills, experience and possible bonus opportunities
Candidates should also possess the following:
- Ability to adapt to challenging clinical environment.
- Experience with blood management is preferred.
- Must be willing to relocate to Mason City, IA or the immediate surrounding area.
- 50% call at this institution is anticipated.
- Must possess good communication and troubleshooting skills.
